The nominations for the 2018  E! People's Choice Awards  have finally arrived! On Wednesday, September 5, 2018, E! revealed the nominees for their first-ever telecast of the  E! People's Choice Awards  (CBS previously broadcast the show) and there are a whopping 43 categories to vote on.

It turns out, Dwayne Johnson was no match for Dracula and company. “Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation” topped the domestic box office charts with $44 million from 4,267 locations, while Dwayne Johnson’s “Skyscraper” washed up with a paltry $25.5 from 3,782 theaters. Sony’s animated family feature picked up $46.4 million overseas this weekend for a global start of $100 million, including Amazon Prime showings. At long last, a heroine is front and center in a Marvel movie. Ant-man and the Wasp In the aftermath of 2016's Captain America: Civil War, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) is placed on house arrest for violating the Sokovia Accords.  Unsure of how to balance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he unwittingly teams up with Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) on a new mission: Rescuing Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) from the quantum realm. That means Scott must suit up and fight beside The Wasp. Up against the clock, Hank, Hope and Scott turn to a deceitful arms dealer, Sonny Burch (Walton Goggins), and Dr. Bill Foster (Laurence Fishburne), one of Hank's former associates, for assistance—and, in at least one instance, it doesn't end well.  Their mission only gets more difficult when Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) tries to steal their technology for her own benefit. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Though new entries “Sicario: Day of the Soldado” and “Uncle Drew” scored higher debuts than expected, “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” still reigns supreme at the domestic box office. “Fallen Kingdom” picked up $60 million from  4,485  locations in its second outing, bringing its domestic tally to $264.8 million . Even with a 59% drop, the dinosaur tentpole has nothing to fear.

On its sixth Friday in theaters, “Deadpool 2” joined its predecessor in an elite box office club as it became only the fifth film to gross $300 million at the domestic box office while holding an R rating. Deadpool Along with the two “Deadpool” films, the other movies in this group are “The Passion of the Christ,” “American Sniper” and last year’s remake of “It.”

DEADLINE : Gal Gadot has closed a deal to star opposite Dwayne Johnson in Red Notice, the international action thriller which Rawson Marshall Thurber is directing from his original script.  Gal Gadot (L) & Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson (R) Universal Pictures won a heated multi-studio bidding battle in February that ended with a green light commitment in the biggest package deal so far this year.   Red Notice  will begin shooting April 2019 in Europe and Universal will release the film worldwide June 12, 2020.

Disney-Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Infinity War” has surpassed the $2 billion mark at the global box office in 48 days. Avengers: Infinity War Disney made the announcement on Tuesday. The superhero tentpole joins three other films that have crossed the milestone — “Avatar” at $2.79 billion, “Titanic” at $2.19 billion, and “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” at $2.07 billion.

"Ocean's 8," the female-fronted overhaul of the starry heist franchise, opened with an estimated $41.5 million at the box office, taking the weekend's top spot from the fast-falling "Solo: A Star Wars Story." Ocean's 8 At a lower price point and in less fanboy-guarded franchise, "Ocean's 8" — despite ho-hum reviews — found nothing like the stormy reception than the female-led "Ghostbusters" reboot did on the same weekend two years ago.

The  Ocean’s  movies are ensemble pieces, but there’s always an Ocean calling the shots. In 1960’s  Ocean’s 11 , it was Frank Sinatra doing it his way as Danny Ocean. In the trilogy launched in 2001, it was George Clooney in the same suave role.

Ocean's 8 is an all-female cast of a lifetime. It stars a true smorgasbord of the baddest ladies in entertainment, including Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Awkwafina, and none other than Rihanna herself. “Ocean’s 8” is an all-female flick and it's on a solid opening weekend of about $41 million from 4,145 North American locations.

The first film in the Ryan Reynolds-led franchise was a new-ish take on the superhero genre; the second is an exhausting case of more of the same. Deadpool Did we really once think that Deadpool—the R-rated, foul-mouthed bastard child of the X-Men universe—would be an Oscar contender ?
