The 2018 Kids Choice Awards are set to take place on Saturday, March 24, 2018 with WWE Superstar, John Cena as the emcee.  This year's show will air live from The Forum in Inglewood, California.

This is the 31st edition of the Awards and the ceremony honors the year's biggest television, movie, and music acts as voted by Nickelodeon viewers. Winners receive a hollow orange blimp figurine, a logo outline for much of the network's 1984–2009 era, which also functions as a kaleidoscope.

Eddy Kenzo, one of East Africa’s most revered singers and BET Awards Winner has been nominated for the Favourite African Star Award which will only be voted for by the fans [kids].

With a great competition, Kenzo has to overcome other African Superstars like Cassper Nyovest (South Africa), athlete, Caster Semenya (South Africa), singer, Davido (Nigeria), comedian, Emmanuella (Nigeria), and singer, Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania) who have been put together with him in the category.

The show which usually is held on a Saturday day, morning, or night in late March or early April features a whole bunch of illustrious celebrity guests and musical acts.

In recent years, slime stunts have been incorporated into the show. The KCAs also host live entertainment. It has also been known to overwhelmingly cover people with the network's trademark green slime.
The series, SpongeBob SquarePants has won the most KCA awards, with fourteen overall through the series' run. Individually, Selena Gomez and Will Smith have both won the most trophies with ten, followed by, Amanda Bynes with seven.

In his mostly vernacular post on Facebook, Kenzo so glorified God for this new milestone, that he promptly dashed to recording studio to do a Gospel Song, Mulungi in which he’ll be talking about God’s goodness toward him.

He farther rallied his fans to continue supporting him, even in this new landmark of his career.
The Africans will be catching the Award show on DSTV’s Nickelodeon Africa [Channel 305] on dates that’ll be announced by the Network.
