Jose Chameleone Premieres New "Champion" Video
After weeks of [musical] numbness, Uganda's afrobeat superstar [Dr.] Jose Chameleon has returned with a ground-breaking new video, "Champion".
As an audio piece, Champion has been aptly mastered with a fusion of Dancehall, House and Afropop beats, gliding upon a very cool-flowing tempo, enough to make the singer's lines clear and unambiguous.
Relevantly so, Chameleon, in his rather corny lyrics, has deliberately seized this chance to serenade himself as an irreplaceable icon in Uganda's music industry.
Although his lyrics almost come short of hitting the mark of his known prowess, it is the video that redeems his whole concept.
It has been rumored that the Valu Valu singer spent an estimated Shs. 40 Million [approx. $12, 000] on the Champion video alone...
General critical review, however, has gathered consesus on the fact that though the intent of the video storyline was to enunciate the comeback of the superstar [from his musical sabbatical], and to project a futuristic picture of the artist, it falls short... because of its exaggerated space excursions and animations -- which make it look too ambigious and exotic.
Despite the professional outlook however, loyal fans of Chameleon's are immensely pleased that their Number One has finally returned after an overwhelming silence.
