BET Awards 2018: Africa Gets Five Nods In “Best International Act” Category

Africa, this time round has been honored with five nominees from the continent, including Cassper Nyovest and Distruction Boyz from South Africa; Davido and Tiwa Savage from Nigeria and Fally Ipupa from D. R. Congo – these were nominated in the 2018 BET Awards for Best International Act category as of Tuesday, May 15, 2018.

The African-five will, however, have to beat Booba, Dadju and Niska from France; J Hus, Stefflon Don and Stormzy from United Kingdom with whom they have been nominated in the same category.

The 2018 BET Awards is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 25, 2018, at the Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles, California, United States.

The BET Awards, organized since 2001 by the Black Entertainment Television [BET] Network celebrate African Americans and other American minorities in music, acting, sports, and other fields of entertainment over the past year.

The awards are presented annually, and are broadcast live on BET. The annual presentation ceremony features performances by artists, and of the awards that are of more popular interest, those are presented in a televised ceremony.

The 2018 BET Awards is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 25, 2018, at the Microsoft Theater, Los Angeles, California, United States.
