Good Lyfe’s Weasel To Go Solo After Colleague’s Death

Mowzey Radio & Weasel

After last week’s sudden death of Mowzey Radio, one half of East Africa’s most dynamic music duo, The Good Lyfe, Douglas Mayanja, commonly known as Weasel, has come out to reassure all Good Lyfe fans that he would be carrying on the legacy of his departed friend and colleague;

Weasel who has been with Radio since the group's very inception, ten years ago, has said that livid as he is, he intends to continue raising the flag of Goodlyfe crew.

“I am strong,” he told NBS TV, “I’m a good raga artiste and… I am going to sing solo so I do not shame Radio.”
Weasel added that he “will do all possible not to disappoint him by keeping the dream of Goodlyfe.”

Before the turn of the fateful events, it turns out; Weasel had talked to Radio at Propela hangout in Makindye.

Radio, apparently, had told Weasel that he needed to pay workers at his construction site in Entebbe. And Weasel haphazardly advised him not to go; “I told Radio that since we were coming from a busy schedule, we should just drink and relax, but he said he must go,” Weasel explains.

He adds, that he even “gave him the option of sending the money by Mobile Money but he insisted he had to go and pay the workers physically.” For fear of being taken for a ride [cheated], he dashed to his car and drove off. “That is the last time we talked.”

Radio was later involved in a scuffle at De Bar in Entebbe, leading to his untimely death.
Police, on Monday, February 5, 2018 arrested Godfrey “Troy” Wamala for the murder of Radio although the suspect denies killing the singer. Investigations continue…
