At long last, a heroine is front and center in a Marvel movie. Ant-man and the Wasp In the aftermath of 2016's Captain America: Civil War, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) is placed on house arrest for violating the Sokovia Accords.  Unsure of how to balance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he unwittingly teams up with Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) on a new mission: Rescuing Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) from the quantum realm. That means Scott must suit up and fight beside The Wasp. Up against the clock, Hank, Hope and Scott turn to a deceitful arms dealer, Sonny Burch (Walton Goggins), and Dr. Bill Foster (Laurence Fishburne), one of Hank's former associates, for assistance—and, in at least one instance, it doesn't end well.  Their mission only gets more difficult when Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) tries to steal their technology for her own benefit. Has any major pop star, of any era, required the level of indulgence that  Kanye West  demands?  Kanye West He’s a brilliant producer, an ingenious curator, and arguably the most consequential pop star of the last decade, but liking Kanye has always meant making peace with the arrogant, petulant, sometimes infuriating character in the foreground.

What we have in the misbegotten mess called  Kings  is a film of countless good intentions – one that starts going bad in its first scene, gets worse form there and then dissolves into pure chaos. It seems, at least from a casual observation of how contemporary parents deal with their kids, that children are the new best friends. No parent wants to be the enemy and, worse yet, some never want to be the boss. No wonder so many young moms and dads address their little ones as “buddy.” Ike Barinholtz, Leslie Mann and John Cena star in "Blockers," But at some point, all those little buddies are going to reach adolescence. They’re going to go on dates, they’re going to start keeping secrets and they’re going to want to have sex.

  Black Panther  will be in tenth-place this weekend, so the only question is whether it’ll still be in tenth place (or higher) next weekend when   Avengers: Infinity War  rolls into town.  Forbes | Scot Mendelson   New Line and Warner Bros./Time Warner Inc.'s  Rampage  earned another $5 million, dropping 57% and snagging a new $50.6m eight-day cume.  The $120m-budgeted monster mash should earn around $18.4m (-48%) in its second weekend for a decent $64m ten-day cume. At a glance, we're probably looking at a $100m+ domestic finish for the Dwayne Johnson movie, unless it gets absolutely butchered by  Avengers: Infinity War .

Rampage You have to give credit to a movie like  Rampage  for featuring a scene in which its lead character—in this case played by  Dwayne Johnson —gazes upon one of its C.G.I. creations and says “you’re big shit.”

The Weeknd As one of pop music's preeminent ministers of brood, Abel Tesfaye can lay claim to exerting a huge influence on the menacing tone that undergirds a large swath of contemporary R&B.
